Terms of Service

Effective: July 3, 2026 · Made by jSon Publishers

These Terms of Service govern your use of the FactLens extension, website, and related services provided by jSon Publishers.

Acceptance and eligibility

By using FactLens, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and at least 13 years old. If local law requires parental consent for your use, you must obtain it before using FactLens.

License to use FactLens

Subject to these terms, jSon Publishers grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use FactLens for its intended purpose. FactLens and its branding, software, design, and documentation remain the property of jSon Publishers and its licensors.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity performed through it. You must provide accurate information and promptly notify us through support if you believe your account or license has been compromised.

Third-party providers

FactLens can connect to third-party transcription, AI, search, payment, hosting, and identity providers. You are responsible for the API keys, accounts, charges, rate limits, content, and provider terms associated with services you choose. Availability and output from those services are outside our control.

Custom and self-hosted endpoints

You are responsible for any custom AI or transcription endpoint you configure, including its hosting, access controls, logs, security, availability, costs, and data retention. FactLens sends requests to an endpoint only when you configure and select it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Fact-checking results

FactLens uses automated systems and third-party providers. Results may be incomplete, outdated, misleading, or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing cited sources and verifying important information independently.

FactLens is not professional legal, medical, financial, safety, or other specialist advice. Do not rely on a FactLens result as the sole basis for a high-impact decision.

Your content and data

You retain any rights you hold in content you submit for processing. You authorize FactLens and the providers you select to process that content only as needed to provide the requested features. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Purchases and Pro access

FactLens Pro is offered as a one-time digital purchase unless the checkout page states otherwise. Prices, taxes, and payment details are shown before purchase. Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record.

A lifetime purchase provides access to the purchased FactLens Pro offering for as long as that offering remains available. It does not guarantee that every feature, third-party integration, or provider will remain unchanged indefinitely.

Refund requests are governed by the Refund Policy and any mandatory rights provided by applicable law.

Service availability and changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, respond to provider changes, or improve FactLens. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Termination

You may stop using FactLens at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a violation of these terms, fraud, abuse, security risk, legal requirement, or harm to FactLens or others. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FactLens is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so those exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, jSon Publishers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or reliance damages arising from FactLens, third-party services, or results produced through them. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections and rights available in your place of residence remain unaffected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when FactLens or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
